Kenny Jackson

Kenny started playing drums at the age of 5. He was on the road at the age of 18 with R & B groups and his brothers’ group “Everybodys’ Brother,” doing both originals and top 40. He studied at Shepherd University under Dr. Coy. He then studied with Ed Soph from North Haven, Connecticut, who was the drummer for Woody Herman’s Group as well as Stan Kenton. Kenny has worked recently with the R&B group, “Blitz Dynette.” They recently warmed up for “The Average White Band” at The Dragonfly Club in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.  Kenny also worked with “Wolfman Jack,” “Blue Oyster Cult,”  “Gary US Bonds,” and “Euge Groove.” Kenny’s influences were Buddy Rich, Dave Weckl, Harvey Mason, Lenny White, and David Garabaldi of “Tower of Power.”
